| Xpress Telecoms’ License Revoked in Jordan |
|
The company, which stopped providing services more than a year ago due to financial difficulties, announced recently that it was about to conclude a deal with an investor to resume operations, but the TRC withdrew the company’s license and asked them to provide financial guarantees that it will pay its outstanding debt to the government, estimated at about JD6.1 million. Late last year, the government said it had issued a warning to the company to pay its outstanding debts and warned that it would revoke its license if it failed to do so. XPress Telecoms was launched its services in June 2004, offering telecommunications services based on the Integrated Digital Enhanced Network technology. |

The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) has revoked the license of XPress Telecoms in Jordan.
